Patio Installation Process
How We Build Your Patio
Site Preparation
We begin by removing existing grass and digging to a depth of 3–5 inches, based on your desired patio level. Most small-to-medium areas can be hand-dug; larger spaces may require power tools.
Base & Drainage
A solid foundation is key. We install a compacted hardcore base and assess drainage needs. If existing drains aren’t available, we create a soakaway (a deep, pebble-filled hole) to prevent water buildup.
Compacting the Base
We use a plate compactor to solidify the area, focusing on the edges to maintain proper leveling for slab installation.
Laying the Patio
Using a sand and cement mix, we lay slabs with precision, cutting as needed to fit your custom design. Borders are installed first to maintain straight lines. Slabs are leveled with rubber mallets and carefully placed to avoid shifting.
Pointing (Joint Filling)
We offer two professional pointing methods
Trowel Pointing
Wet mortar is placed in joints and finished with a sponge.
Brush-In Method
A wet mortar mix is brushed in, then cleaned off after semi-drying for a neat, sealed finish.
